Where to catch me next

Conferences, live sessions, and my own six-week cohort. The thread tying them together: helping instructional designers, trainers, and L&D folks use AI to build real, interactive learning without needing to learn to code.

Date
Thursday, September 17, 2026 · 12:00 to 1:00pm ET
Host
ATD Northeast Florida
Format
Virtual on Zoom · beginners welcome

What exactly is vibe coding, and what can L&D actually build with it? This session introduces vibe coding, looks at practical ways it supports learning work, and compares some of the tools. I share examples from my own projects, then walk everyone through their first hands-on build in Claude Code. No previous coding experience is required, and registrants get a short prework video covering the install.

Rachel Weiss

Bring Rachel to your event

I speak and run workshops on using AI to build real, interactive learning, not just faster slides. If one of these fits what you're putting together, let's talk.

01

Building real L&D products with AI

How to go from a training need to a working tool people actually use, using AI as a builder, not just a writer.

02

Gamification with coding agents

How coding agents let instructional designers build games and interactive experiences directly, no dev team required.

03

Beyond the chatbot

What instructional designers can build now that AI does more than draft text: reusable objects, not one-off prompts.

What your audience leaves with

  • Something they actually built in the room, not just notes from a slide deck.
  • A repeatable process for turning a training idea into a working object.
  • Confidence to use AI as a building tool, not just a writing tool.
