Gamified learning consulting for L&D teams

Build workplace learning people actually want to play.

I help L&D teams turn real performance problems into games, simulations and custom practice tools. We decide the right experience first — then I can prototype it or build it with you.

Most gamification consultants can run a workshop and hand you a concept. These are finished, working experiences. Open any of them before you spend a dollar.

The arcade

The problem
Recall that fades the week after a course closes.
What I built
Ten playable knowledge checks that drop into any authoring tool or LMS.
What it practises
Retrieving the answer fast and often, without a quiz screen in sight.

This website

The problem
Learning interfaces that feel like forms, so nobody explores them.
What I built
A walking avatar, collectible coins and a hidden level, inside an ordinary marketing site.
What it practises
Nothing — it is proof that an interface can invite you in at all.

01 — Decide

Should this training problem become a game?

Before your team spends weeks building, get a clear, defensible decision on the right learning experience. In one 90-minute working session we take a real workplace performance problem and find where performance breaks down, what people need to practise, what feedback will help, and the simplest experience that can support it. Sometimes that is a game. Sometimes it is a scenario, a simulation, or something much simpler — and I will tell you when it is. You don't need to prepare a polished deck or commission an audit first: bring one problem you already have, and we work on it live while I write the blueprint on screen.

You leave with a finalised one-page Experience Blueprint

  • Recommended format — game, simulation, scenario, or don't build it at all
  • Target workplace behaviour — what someone should do differently at work
  • Practice and feedback loop — what the learner does, and what tells them they got it right
  • Success measure — how you'll know afterwards whether it worked
  • Recommended scope and build path — what to build first, and what to leave out
  • Realistic effort and budget range — for the recommended path

$750 flat, for up to three people.

The best room is the decision-maker, the learning owner, and the person closest to the work. A bigger group makes it a facilitated workshop rather than a working session — ask and I'll quote it. Book a Build Day within 60 days and $250 of this becomes a project credit against it.

Focused scope

This session addresses one workplace performance problem. It does not include a content audit, prototype, storyboard, course rewrite, or platform configuration. We write and approve the blueprint together, so you leave with the final document. If you need a larger review or a working prototype, choose a workshop or a Build Day.

02 — Prototype

Ready to build it?

Turn your Experience Blueprint into a working prototype during a focused Build Day. We define the interaction, build the core experience, and test the direction before you commit to a larger project. You pick the format before we start and send me your content the week before, so the day goes on making it yours rather than watching me invent something from nothing. You direct, I build. Nobody leaves pretending they are now a developer.

Build Days from $2,500.

Come from a Direction Session within 60 days and $250 of it lands here as a project credit. Want the team building without me afterwards? The enablement tier hands over the source, teaches your team to change it, and includes Academy seats — from $5,000.

Build it yourself

Build your own with my tools.

No code, no AI skills needed — that's the point of my tools. The PWO Generator turns your quiz questions into a hosted, playable game you can drop into any authoring tool or LMS in minutes. Free right now, while I'm building it in the open.

Or I build the whole thing.

If your team does not want to be in the room for it, send me your source material and the direction — scenario game, arcade-style knowledge check, investigation, your brand — and I will build it and hand it back finished. SCORM-ready for your LMS, tested, yours.

Custom builds typically run $3,500–$10,000 depending on scope.

Limited availability

What happens when you reach out

A 30-minute call. No pitch deck — I look at your actual content and tell you honestly which one fits.

Sometimes the answer is "just use the free tool." I'll tell you that too.
